GAMA HISTORY
The beginning of the history of GAMA as a NATIONAL ENTERPRISE dates back to 1950 when it was not yet fully engaged in the production of health products but also in the production of school and office supplies and mechanical toys in Trhové Sviny. It contained 21 trading companies, factories and establishments. Small establishments gradually disappeared during 1958 leaving five establishments.
GAMA GROUP a.s. was established only in 1992 with the main focus on the development and production of disposable medical, laboratory, veterinary supplies and other plastic products under the "GAMA" brand. Another, no less important part is OEM and production at the customer's request, but also non-medical production with the main technologies of injection, blow moulding, extrusion, thermoforming and welding of plastic products, including assembly and packaging for various customers, managed by 7 production plants. Expansion by the subsidiary GAMEDIUM spol. s r. o. occurs in 1998, which also becomes the main distribution organization of GAMA GROUP a.s. for the Czech Republic. With the exception of the company's management, all production plants were located outside České Budějovice in 2005: Jimramov, Dalečín, Trhové Sviny, Litomyšl and Milevsko. Since 2007, the company has been part of the KOH-I-NOOR holding a.s.
GAMA GROUP is represented by four production plants and one subsidiary company. The company's growth is also evidenced by the construction of completely a new clean rooms for plastic injection in 2013, a modern logistics warehouse at the Jimramov plant during 2017, including continuous automation of production and processes across the entire company.
As time goes by, our company continues to develop, grows in its expertise, strives to improve in all directions, constantly invests not only in modern technologies and innovations, but also, above all, in the quality of its products under its trademark "GAMA".
